Girl in Red

Starting out with a major bang, Girl In Red opened with iconic queer anthems like “girls” and “bad idea!” The energy held strong as the show progressed; never ceasing or stalling, only growing in size. Throughout the show, Marie held a great balance of finding both improvised bits and moments of vulnerability for the more personal ballads in her set. She performed said ballads, seated at a custom red blob-like piano, such as “I’m Back” and “Pick Me,” both of which are featured off her newest album “I’M DOING IT AGAIN BABY!” (which you can find on all major streaming platforms). Better than a great night, it was a great way to celebrate as we move into this year’s Pride Month!
