Offset

Offset “Set It Off” at the Masonic and absolutely exceeded expectations. Aside from his musical career, success, and achievements I want to give Offset his flowers as a performer.

Let’s understand first that a lot of artists in general but more specifically rappers, are not putting the amount of value and effort into the “performance” aspect of their concert as much as he did. 2 of the biggest things to stand out was him having backup dancers and himself also having choreography sections all throughout the show. This is something that you’ll almost never see with rappers and something that might not be appreciated enough by the average concert goer. Yet it is something that in my opinion adds so much value and depth to a show, and really shows how much an artist cares about putting on a show for their fans.

The show opened with “SAY MY GRACE” one of his hit songs from his latest album “SET IT OFF”, which pretty much set the tone for the whole show considering it was expected to be one of his final act songs, so if that was the opener then we were in for a treat. This was definitely one of the more engaging performances you see as the choreography and energy constantly had your attention.

With respect to where he’s come from Offset showed appreciation to the Migos playing a few throwbacks like “Motorsport”, “Narcos”, and also paying tribute and love to the late Takeoff. Without a doubt an amazing show on a tour that should definitely be getting Offset even more respect then he’s already earned. He’s definitely earned more from me
