The Thing With Feathers ‘Something Wrong’ Review

by Madison Avery

Following the release of their sophomore EP, The Thing With Feathers is really embracing the alt-rock sound with their fresh single ‘Something Wrong’. Consisting of David Welcsh (vocals), Alex Hendricks (lead guitar), and Chris Roussell (drums), The Thing With Feathers had their big breakthrough with one of their first singles in 2019 called ‘Figure It Out’. The song has now gained over one and a half million listens on Spotify. These guys know how to cultivate a song with relatable lyrics and irresistible instrumental that will be stuck in your head and have you dancing the night away. Now back with their newest single ‘Something Wrong’, the band certainly embraces an alt-rock sound.

“The song is about the way up. It’s about meeting someone new and exciting. It’s about the fear and the thrill of pushing down what hurts your heart and stepping out on shaky ground.” says Welcsh.

To promote ‘Something Wrong’, The Thing With Feathers asked fans to submit some questions and the band answered them (with some special guests) while eating spicy foods, which turned out very interesting…

You can catch The Thing With Feathers at EXIT/IN located in Nashville for a special show to celebrate the release of the new single. You can also find them in Chicago, Chattanooga, Charlotte, and Detroit, tickets are available on their website.
