Four Artists To See At Moon River

Founded in 2014, Moon River Music Festival brings a weekend highlighting delicious food and drink vendors and an array of talented musicians to Chattanooga, Tennessee. The festival boasts of 20+ performances gathering people on the banks of the Tennessee River for two days encompassed by good vibes, nature, and music. The lineup for the sold-out 2023 festival delivers an impressive ensemble of talented acts. Some of the artists making an appearance include: 

Hozier

‘Take Me To Church’ singer Andrew Byrne, better known as Hozier, will make his way to Moon River Festival to play for eager fans hoping to hear their favorite songs including those from his recently released album “Unreal Unearth”. Hozier captivates listeners with this third studio album through his poetic story-telling abilities and rich vocals accompanied by mystical instrumentals which weave through folk and groovy tones and swells of emotion. Some of the songs on the album pay homage to the singer’s Irish heritage with him singing in the native tongue of Gaelic. Hozier will play the Poplar stage at 9:15 pm on Sunday.

Noah Cyrus:

Noah Cyrus, the younger sister to actress and singer Miley Cyrus and daughter of famed country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, is making her own waves in the music world with her ethereal vocals and captivating presence. Cyrus is no stranger to vulnerability through her lyricism and beautifully raw emotion that highlights the internal and external struggles of life and love consuming and drawing listeners in - especially through the delicate track ‘July’ and ever powerful ‘Lonely’. Noah will play the Poplar stage at 5:15 pm on Sunday. 

The Dip: 

The Dip is a soulful R&B band formed in 2013 by jazz students from Seattle’s University of Washington. This band provides an endless supply of groovy tunes accompanied by funky instrumentals and vocals which simply make the sun shine a little brighter and the birds sing a little louder while listening. The tracks ‘Sure Don’t Miss You’, ‘Atlas’, and ‘When You Lose Someone’ are some of their many songs which create this vibe. Modern takes on 70s soul is making waves in music currently and The Dip is a name people should know in this new age of R&B. The Dip will play the Iris stage at 2:45 pm on Saturday. 

Judah & The Lion: 

Judah & The Lion is an alternative rock and folk band from Nashville, Tennessee fronted by Judah Akers and Brian Macdonald. Judah & The Lion put on a truly captivating and highly energetic performance consisting of music addressing complex overarching themes of anxiety and heartbreak weaving a powerful and uplifting story of finding hope and acceptance. Judah’s powerful vocals and the band’s intense instrumentals captivate listeners allowing them to fully connect to the messages being shared through the music. Judah & The Lion will play the Iris stage at 8:15 pm on Sunday.
